Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing a fluid bearing device in which oil repellent agent can be favorably fixed without causing deterioration of productivity.

This method comprises oil repellent agent supply processes #1 and #2 to supply oil repellent agent to a sleeve and a shaft as the sleeve and the shaft are not combined with each other, drying processes #3 and #4 to dry the sleeve and the shaft in conditions of temperature and time in which the oil repellent agent is not denatured, combining processes #5 and #6 to combine the sleeve and the shaft with each other, and combine a thrust plate with an end part of the sleeve as sealing bond is supplied, and a heating process #7 to heat the shaft and the sleeve combined with each other in conditions of temperature and time in which the oil repellent agent is denatured, and in which the seal bond is hardened, so that the oil repellent agent is denatured to be fixed, while simultaneously the seal bond is hardened.
