Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of fitting a crank shaft gear capable of preventing the sliding of the crank shaft gear to a crank shaft, while avoiding the concentration of tooth root stress on the crank shaft gear with thin rim thickness, and an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A method of fitting a crank shaft gear includes: a step for applying an adhesive 50 on a fitting surface 28 of a crank shaft 20, when a crank shaft gear 30 is shrinkage-fitted to the crank shaft 20; a step for heating the crank shaft gear 30 to a shrink fit temperature T1 capable of obtaining expansion amount corresponding to an interference δ of the crank shaft 20 which is set on the basis of the rim thickness Δr of the crank shaft gear 30 and the adhesive force of the adhesive 50; and a step for inserting the crank shaft 20 on which the adhesive 50 is applied into the heated crank shaft gear 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
