To provide a method for perfectly cleaning an exhaust gas that cleans an exhaust gas containing a hardly decomposable halogen compound and to provide a facility for withdrawing a hardly decomposable halogen compound, which is suitable for effecting the method of cleaning the exhaust gas, from a vessel and cleaning the vessel and further performing the decomposition treatment of the hardly decomposable halogen compound.
The method for cleaning the exhaust gas comprises steps of an absorbing step that makes the hardly decomposable halogen compound included in the exhaust gas absorbed in an absorbent by contacting the exhaust gas containing the hardly decomposable halogen compound with the absorbent, a cooling step that cools the exhaust gas treated in the absorbing step by a condenser and an activated carbon treatment step that contacts the exhaust gas cooled by the condenser with activated carbon. The facility suitable for effecting the method for cleaning the exhaust gas is also provided.
