Abstract:
To provide a carbon fiber composite metallic material containing uniformly dispersed carbon nanofibers, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a metallic molding.
The method for producing the carbon fiber composite metallic material comprises the step (a) of mixing a carbon fiber composite material with a metallic material in a fluid state and subsequent step (b) of cooling and solidifying the mixture obtained in the step (a). The carbon fiber composite material comprises an elastomer and carbon nanofibers dispersed in the elastomer. The elastomer has unsaturated bonds or groups having an affinity for the carbon nanofibers.
