PURPOSE: To obtain pair glass having superior airtightness with high productivity by attaching a sealing material to each of four spacer bodies so as to project both ends of the sealing material, putting the resulting spacers between two glass plates in a square shape, and carrying out heating and pressurization.
CONSTITUTION: A hot meltable sealing material 2 is attached to the outside of each of four spacer bodies 1 so as to project both ends of the sealing material 2 from both ends of the spacer body 1. The resulting four spacers 5 are put on a glass plate 3 in a square shape, and another glass plate 3 is superposed on the spacers 5. The spacer bodies 1 are positioned to the peripheries of the two glass plates 3, and the projected ends 4 of the adjacent spacers 5 are superposed on each other. The resulting pair glass is heated and pressurized to adhere the sealing material 2 to the plates 3 as well as to melt-bond the superposed projected ends 4 together.
