PURPOSE: To provide a manifold which is used for a heat-exchanger having a multibranch coupling part formed by integral forging molding.
CONSTITUTION: After a core 30 is inserted in a work having a premolded body pipe part, the work is brought into contact with a bottom mold 21. A top mold 25 having a branch pipe molding hole 28 and a punch rod 29 is set to effect pressurization. A part of the work flows in a solid state to the interior of the molding hole 28. Thereafter, by effecting pressurization by using a punch rod 29, a branch pipe 3 can be molded. Then the top mold is removed, a core is taken out and, by intercommunicating a branch pipe hole 5 and a body pipe 4 by using a punch or a drill, a manifold having a number of branch pipe couplings can be integrally forge-molded.
