To increase a sealing characteristic between a manhole lid and a flange in an easy manner without applying any cost.
A manhole gasket G for assuring a seal characteristic of a manhole 53 is constituted such that an annular core body 1 is covered by a fluororesin outer coat 2 and held between a flange 55 and a lid 54 of the manhole 53, a peripheral edge of the lid 54 and the flange 55 are fastened with a clamp 56. Each of the upper surface and lower surface of the annular core body 1 is formed with peripheral grooves 3 displaced in a diametral direction and a resilient soft annular seal member 4 is fitted to each of the grooves 3. As the clamp 56 performs a fastening operation, the lower annular seal member 4 is pushed against the flange 55 through the outer coat 2 and the upper annular seal member 4 is pushed against the lid 54 through the outer coat 2, respectively.
