Abstract:
To provide a magnetic gear device in which transmission efficiency is improved by restraining generation of eddy current.SOLUTION: A rotor has a rotor yoke consisting of a soft magnetic material, the rotor yoke is provided with multiple through holes, penetrating in the rotational axis direction, radially about the revolving shaft of the rotor, the multiple through holes are embedded with permanent magnets, respectively, and each permanent magnet is magnetized in a direction perpendicular to the radiation direction in a state embedded in the through hole, and arranged so that the opposing surfaces of adjoining permanent magnets have the same polarity. With such an arrangement, magnetic flux amount of the rotor can be increased. Since a cavity extends to the stator side on the end face of a through hole provided in the rotor yoke of soft magnetic material, on the side facing the stator, and a rotor holder composed of a nonmagnetic material is exposed to the end face of the through hole on the side facing the stator, short circuit of magnetic flux can be circumvented, and efficiency of the magnetic gear is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
