Title:
MAGNETIC BEARING-MOUNTED ROTARY MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3414918
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a shock received by a rotary shaft and a touch down bearing very much small at the time of touch down by cutting power to a rotary machine according to the magnitude of the detected runout of the rotary shaft and cutting current to be supplied to an electromagnet of each magnetic bearing.
SOLUTION: When the magnitude of runout of a rotary shaft 101 which is detected by a position detector 109-1R for the rotary shaft 101 which is installed on each of the magnetic bearings 105a, 105b exceeds a specified value, driving power of the rotary machine is cut off first. After the rotary shaft 101 becomes a free-run state owing to the cut-off of driving current to the rotay machine, in other words, when forced rotary force stops working, current in an electromagnet of the magnetic bearing 105a or 105b to correspond to the position detector 109-1R which has shown that the runout of the rotary shaft exceeded the specified value is cut off and only the magnetic bearing 105a or 105b is touched down. By this, a shock the rotary shaft 101 and a touchdown bearing 110 receive at the time of touch down is very small.
