Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the excess current caused by an abnormality of a control system of a magnetic bearing device from being supplied to an electromagnet.
SOLUTION: A magnetic bearing device is provided with an electromagnet 6 to levitate a body 20 to be supported, a displacement sensor 2 to detect the displacement of the body 2 to be supported, an abnormality detecting circuit 7a which constitutes a control system to form a 1001) including a magnetic bearing control circuit 4 to control the current to be supplied to the electromagnet based on the displacement signal from the displacement sensor and detects an abnormality in the control system, and a shut-off circuit 8 to shut off the loop based on the signal of the abnormality detecting circuit 7a. When an abnormality is detected in the control system, the abnormality detecting circuit 7a transmits the abnormality detection signal to the shut-off circuit 8, the shut-off circuit 8 shuts off a part of the loop to constitute the control system to stop the current flowing in the electromagnet, and the excess current caused by an abnormality in the control system of the magnetic bearing device is prevented from being supplied to the electromagnet. The body to be supported or an auxiliary bearing are not subject to an excessive pressing force caused by the current flowing in the electromagnet, and breakage or seizure on the contact surface can be avoided.
