Title:
MAGNETIC BEARING DEVICE FOR ROTOR SHAFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3961032
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To constitute a magnetic bearing device with magnetic force for radially and axially resetting a rotor shaft when shifted from a target position, in such a way that a shielding current generated in superconducting structure is not too small to guarantee the stable bearing of a rotor block with heavy weight.
CONSTITUTION: A rotor block 3 includes a first bearing part 5 connected to a rotor shaft 4, and a second position-fixed bearing part 11 surrounds the first bearing part 5. One of the bearing parts 5, 11 contains a number of alternately polarized permanent magnetic elements 6a-6f spaced from one another by intermediate spaces completely filled with intermediate elements 8a-8e formed of ferromagnetic elements, and the other bearing part contains structure 12 with high-Tc superconducting material. The rotor shaft 4 is formed of nonmagnetic material within a tubular edge range facing the first bearing part 5, and the superconducting structure 12 has grains formed of high-Tc superconducting material.
