To provide a machine sewing thread for embroidery forming a beautiful seam by adjusting tension of the machine sewing thread itself even the sewing machine is not provided with a tension adjusting function.

The invention relates to the machine sewing thread imparting a preferable sewing performance even with a sewing machine without a tension adjusting function by composing the machine sewing thread imparted with a polyester resin containing a polyethylene glycol as a hydrophilic component without imparting silicone oil to the machine sewing thread as conventionally did.
