Abstract:
To provide a technology capable of reducing power consumption of an MR fluid device to further improve performance of the MR fluid device.SOLUTION: An MR fluid device 1 has a rotor 10 having a storage portion 14 composed of a base portion 11, and side wall portions 12, 13 raised from an outer edge of the base portion 11, and a shaft portion 15 vertically extended from a center of the base portion 11, a stator 20 having iron cores 21, 22 provided with recessed portions 27 on side surfaces opposed to the side wall portion 13, and a coil 23 wound on the iron cores, and partially housed in the storage portion 14, bearings 31, 32 rotatably supporting the shaft portion 15, a plurality of ring-shaped rotary plates 40 fixed to the rotor 10 and extended from the side wall portions 12, 13 to the inside of the recessed portions 27, a plurality of ring-shaped fixed plates 50 fixed to the stator 20 and alternately disposed with respect to the plurality of rotary plates 40 inside of the recessed portions 27, and a housing 60 in which the storage portion 14 and the stator 20 are disposed, and an MR fluid can be filled in at least the recessed portions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
