Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce manufacturing cost by eliminating interference of a coil spring and a peripheral member as much as possible and minimizing the number of members to apply hardening treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A piston plate 19 to frictionally engage with a converter cover and a hold plate 20 connected to a turbine are elastically connected to each other in the revolving direction by a coil spring 21. An opening 25 and a bent piece 26 are formed on the hold plate 20, and the coil spring 21 is held by the opening 25 and the bent piece 26. A plural number of claws 32 to support an end part of the coil spring 21 are formed on a drive plate 23 connected to the piston plate 19. A distance between the bent pieces 26, 26 of the hold plate 20 is set shorter than length of the opening 25. A spring regulating part 27 is formed on the hold plate 20. When large torque is applied on the coil spring 21, the coil spring 21 is curved to the side of the turbine, and its displacement is regulated by the spring regulating part 27.
