Title:
LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3722587
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve storage property of a lithographic printing plate and to stabilize photographic sensitivity, and to improve contamination in a printing base, ink depositing property and printing durability by incorporating a water-soluble inorg. nitrate into a physical developing nucleus layer.
SOLUTION: This lithographic printing plate has a silver halide emulsion layer and a physical developing nucleus layer on a supporting body and the plate uses silver complex salt diffusion transfer method. The physical developing nucleus layer contains a water-soluble inorg. nitrate. As for the inorg. nitrate, nitrates or nitric acid hydrates such as potassium nitrate, aluminum nitrate and nickel nitrate can be used. The amt. of nitrates or nitric acid hydrates used depends on the layer in which these are used, and is preferably controlled to 10-6 to 10-2 mol/m2 metal ions of inorg. nitrates. By using an acrylamide copolymer as a binder in the physical developing nucleus layer, contamination on the printing base, ink depositing property, printing durability and storage property are further improved.
