To provide a liquid ejection device which can perform paper suction on a platen and recovery of suspended mist without increase in size and cost of the device.
An inkjet printer 1 ejects ink liquid from a liquid print head 44 which reciprocates in a direction almost orthogonal to a direction in which paper P is conveyed on the platen 91. Herein a suction means 61 for sucking the paper P which is being conveyed, from below the platen 91, is formed of suction holes 63, 64 arranged and perforated in the platen 91 in a range broader than the maximum width of the paper P, suction ducts 66, 67 communicating between the suction holes 63, 64 and the outside of a device case, suction fans 68, 69 provided on the suction ducts 66, 67, and mist catching means 71 provided on the suction ducts 66, 67, for catching suspended mist.
