To provide a liner guide and a feeding screw friction reducing method capable of using a low-priced ultrasonic vibrator and easily leading into a current machine tool even if design of a rolling guide element is changed at the minimum and improved in precise positioning accuracy from a micro order to a sub macro order by reducing rolling friction force more.
In a method of reducing friction of a rolling linear guide element having a rolling body and a raceway surface, high-frequency vibration is applied to a rail side raceway surface or a guide block side raceway surface or the both to reduce friction force between the rolling body and the raceway surface. With this structure, vibration in a guide block and a rail fitting part can be restricted to the minimum to eliminate transmission of vibration to a machine main body and a work, and vibration is given to the only part between the rolling body of the rolling linear guide element and the raceway surface, in which a roller is interposed, and friction in the surface can be reduced to improve positioning accuracy.
