Title:
LACE STITCH FABRIC AND KNITTING THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3020863
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lace stitch fabric capable of extending or restoring only an important part, as necessary, or tightening only the important point by imparting the stretchability to only a required limited point while sewing a continuous lace stitch fabric and decorating the knitted fabric.
SOLUTION: Stretchable yarns 4 are knitted in each of at least a part of plural wales 1 and plural kinds of groups of continuously knitted courses 7 are formed. The degree of extension at which the stretchable yarns 4 is extended in each of the plural kinds of the groups of courses 7 is varied to carry out the knitting. The stretchable yarns 4 are knitted in each of at least the part of the plural wales 1 and the plural kinds of the groups of continuously formed courses 7 in the longitudinal direction are knitted. The restoration shrinkability in the longitudinal direction imparted to the knitted stretchable yarns 4 are changed in each of the plural kinds of the groups of courses 7 to afford a lace stitch fabric. The resultant lace stitch fabric comprises the stretchable yarns 4 knitted in each of at least the part of the plural wales 1 and the plural kinds of the groups of the courses 7, continuously formed in the longitudinal direction and knitted therein and has the varied restoration shrinkability due to the elastic recovery of the knitted stretchable yarns 4 in each of the groups of the plural kinds of courses 7 when extended in the longitudinal direction.
