Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint for piping capable of preventing relatively large flow noise, corrosion and slow leak.SOLUTION: In a joint 1 for piping, two joint members 10 and 20 having refrigerant flow passages 11 and 21, flat contact surfaces 12 and 22, and through holes 15 and 24 are fixed so that the flat contact surfaces 12 and 22 are brought into surface contact with each other and the refrigerant flow passages 11 and 21 are communicated with each other. An annular flat gasket 31 is disposed between a flat end surface of a fitting protrusion 13 of the first joint member 10 and a flat bottom surface of a fitting recession 23 of the second joint member 20. In a state that portions around openings of the through holes 15 and 24 in the flat contact surfaces 12 and 22 of the joint members 10 and 20 are adhered with each other, the flat gasket 31 is pressed from both sides and elastically deformed by the end surface of the fitting protrusion 13 and the bottom surface of the fitting recession 23, and an inner peripheral edge of the flat gasket 31 is protruded into the refrigerant flow passages 11 and 21 of the joint members 10 and 20.
