To provide a manufacturing method for uniformly dispersing and depositing fine Ni metal particles to the surface of iron powder, iron-based powder for purification obtained by the above method, and a manufacturing method for efficiently manufacturing a spherical metal Ni particulate.
After emulsifying water-soluble Ni in the form of a W/O type, the water-soluble Ni and a reactant are reacted to obtain micro-emulsion in which water droplets containing a water-insoluble Ni salt are uniformly dispersed. Subsequently iron power is added to destroy the W/O type emulsion, and at the same time the water-insoluble Ni salt is uniformly deposited to the surface of the iron powder. The iron powder to which the water-insoluble Ni salt is deposited is immersed in hydrazine in presence of alkali to reduce the water-insoluble Ni salt, thereby the iron-based powder where Ni particulates having an average particle diameter of 1-50 nm are deposited to the surface of the iron powder mainly comprising iron can be manufactured.
