Abstract:
To provide an internal combustion engine that can prevent dilution and deterioration of oil by preventing unburned fuel from directly running down an internal wall surface of a cylinder.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 10 includes a cylinder 11, a piston 12 installed inside the cylinder 11 and reciprocating therein, and a fuel injection valve 19 for injecting fuel into the cylinder 11. A blocking part 20 extending across the whole circumference in a cylinder peripheral direction and temporarily accumulating fuel and oil running down a wall surface is formed in a middle position of the wall surface between one end and the other end of the cylinder 11 on a side of the fuel injection valve 19.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
