Abstract:
To solve the following problems that; letters are displayed wherein part of letters is missing due to a failure of a display unit; a driver during driving a car cannot recognize letters as displaying is controlled to be off in a non-display state; and driving is judged to be no problem because nothing is displayed.
A display item displayed in an information display device is memorized as a display item related information including words and display space information for displaying the words and when a failure occurs in the display unit 11, displaying is performed avoiding the display unit with failure for each word at a time in the information display unit.
