Abstract:
To provide a magnetic gear device which improves restoration performance after loss of synchronism of a magnetic gear caused by overload while maintaining large transmission torque in a non-contact manner.SOLUTION: A magnetic gear device 100 has an inner rotor having a plurality of permanent magnets 16, an outer rotor 3 having a plurality of permanent magnets 32, and an intermediate stator 2 having a plurality of magnetic pieces formed of a soft magnetic material between the rotors. The magnetic pieces modulate magnetic flux of each magnet pole number ratio to transfer rotation. When load in which load of a magnetic gear exceed the limit of a transmission torque is added, the magnetic gear steps out and cannot transfer torque and is not restored from step-out unless the step-out phenomenon sharply reduces the load or stops rotation to restart. An induction synchronous magnetic gear device forms a cage conductor in at least one rotor of a normal magnetic gear device and improves recovery from the step-out by action of guide function when occurring the step-out.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
