Abstract:
To provide an in-wheel motor which can prevent excessive torque from being transmitted into a rotor or a wheel, and shorten axial length.SOLUTION: An in-wheel motor 1 having an outer rotor typed motor in which a rotor 9 is arranged on an outer peripheral side of a stator 6 is arranged inside of a wheel comprises: a drive side rotary member 10 which rotates with the rotor 9; a driven side rotary member 17 which rotates with the wheel; and a transmission part 18 which transfers torque between the drive side rotary member 10 and the driven side rotary member 17. The transmission part 18 is configured to relatively rotate, when a torque applied to either one of the drive side rotary member 10 and the driven side rotary member 17 is the prescribed torque or more, the drive side rotary member 10 and the driven side rotary member 17 to restrict the torque transmitted between the drive side rotary member 10 and the driven side rotary member 17 to be the prescribed torque.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
