Abstract:
The disclosure relates to an automated apparatus for mixing ingredients stored in closed containers (14) includes a gyroscopically mounted frame (40) with a clamping arrangement (46, 48) for clamping a container therein. A shuttle (20) moves back and forth between a conveyor (12) and the frame (40) carrying containers to and from the frame. An injection arm (30) carried on the shuttle moves the container into the frame, and an ejection arm (186) moves the container from the frame to the shuttle, for return to the conveyor. A braking alignment mechanism (212, 240, 226) orients the frame to receive a container.
