Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent invation of foreign matters and keep an oil pressure up to a high speed rotational area by providing, on the rear face of an accumulator piston, a chamber in which air and oil are sealed by a cover.
CONSTITUTION: A chamber 34 in which air and an oil are sealed by a cover 31 is provided on the rear face of a accumulator piston 33. The accumulator piston 33 is stopped at a position where it makes its own balance due to centrifugal force and enclosed air pressure, but the accumulator piston 33 moves outward when oil within a coupling is thermally expanded and oil within the chamber 34 is pushed and the liquid surface rises. A force to push the accumulator piston 33 outward becomes smaller. While, the volume of the air within the chamber 34 is decreased and the pressure rises, so that the volume change of the oil due to the thermo-expansion is absorbed. As the volumes of the oil inside/outside of the accumulator piston 33 do not become mutually unbalanced, the oil pressure within the coupling up to a high speed rotating area can be maintained and invasion of a foreign matter such as refuses can be prevented.
