Abstract:
PURPOSE:To permit the joint of an outer shell and a blade in large variety of methods thereby enabling the fitting of the blade to be automated by making up a pump shell from a double structure of an outer shell and a rear cover. CONSTITUTION:A pump impeller 2 consists of a pump part 9 and a rear cover 10 which covers the pump part 9 along an outer shell 7. The pump part 9 is built up by engaging and forcing insertions 81 and 82 of a blade 8 with and through respective slits 62 and 72 of an inner core 6 and an outer shell 7 and then caulking projecting parts of those insertions 81 and 82. The external ends 10A and 75 of the rear cover 10 and the outer shell 7 are welded to the external end part 11A of the front cover 11 while the internal ends 10B and 74 of the rear cover 10 and the outer shell 7 are welded to a cylindrical rotary shaft 15.
