To improve the durability of a hydraulic drive device and smoothly start driving a working machine, in a hydraulic drive device in which a hydraulic motor body hydraulically driven by a hydraulic pump body operationally drives the working machine.
The hydraulic drive device comprises: the hydraulic pump body operationally driven by a driving source; and the hydraulic motor body fluidically connected to the hydraulic pump body, and operationally drives the working machine by the hydraulic motor body. At a transmission path extended from the hydraulic motor body to the working machine, a friction disc type clutch mechanism being in a power transmission state or in a power shutoff state is provided according to on/off-operations turning on or off the drive of the working machine.
