PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic device which inhibits increase in a main circuit voltage with a simple structure when abnormality, such as abnormal increase in the main circuit voltage of a power conversion part, occurs.SOLUTION: A hydraulic device includes: a hydraulic motor 5 to which a hydraulic oil that should be returned to an oil tank 7 is supplied; an electric generator 6 driven by the hydraulic motor 5; a power conversion part 20 which converts electric power generated by the electric generator 6; an assist motor 8 which is driven by the electric power converted by the power conversion part 20; and a controller 30 which controls the electric generator 6 and the assist motor 8. The controller 30 includes: a main circuit voltage determination part 31a which determines whether or not a main circuit voltage of the power conversion part 20 exceeds a determination value; and a field current control part 31b which controls a field current of the electric generator 6 so that a weak field current flows into the electric generator 6 when the main circuit voltage determination part 31a determines that the main circuit voltage of the power conversion part 20 exceeds the determination value.
