Title:
HYDRAULIC BRAKE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60184731
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To keep an engine RPM constant against load variations by changing an amount of fluid stored in both rotatable and fixed impellers following a change of the RPM within a certain region of the RPM. CONSTITUTION:Variations of the RPM of a rotary shaft 1 cause the pressure applied to a hydraulic fluid ring 3 produced due to the flange 4 of a rotary impeller 2 to be altered, whereby controlled hydraulic pressure taken out from a rake pipe 5 is varied. In this case, provided that force by a spring 13 is adapted to be dominant to the extent of certain hydraulic pressure, the hydraulic fluid stored in both impellers 2, 8 is made null, since an adjusting value 9 is kept wholly closed, whereby no rotation limiting power is produced. In succession, when the controlled hydraulic pressure taken out from the rake pipe 5 is raised in conformity with an increased engine RPM, the valve 9 is opened overcoming the force by the spring 13, whereby the hydraulic fluid is supplied into both impellers 2, 8. A required amount of the hydraulic fluid at that time is defined by a balance between said supply amount and an amount thereof discharged from a relief port 11.
