To install a water intake device to a gas pipe with a simple work.SOLUTION: A water intake device installation method includes the steps of: fitting a water introduction part 50B of a water intake device 12B in a lower periphery of a resin gas pipe G2; boring an upper hole H1 in an upper wall of the resin gas pipe G2 which faces a position where the water introduction part 50B is fitted; boring a drip hole H2 in a lower wall of the resin gas pipe G2 which corresponds to an opening inside of the water introduction part 50B via the upper hole H1; and blocking the upper hole H1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
