Abstract:
To obtain an assembling method of a hub unit bearing which can make favorable not only a lubrication state of a rolling contact part between and among rolling faces of conical rollers held by a fall prevention cage, an outer ring raceway and an inner ring raceway, but also a lubrication state of a contact part between large-diameter side end parts of the conical rollers and a large flange part.SOLUTION: A roller assembly 17c for holding conical rollers 4c at a cage 12c being a fall prevention cage is arranged at an inside diameter side of an outer ring raceway 6c in a state that the assembly is displaced to a side at which an inside diameter of the outer ring raceway 6c becomes large with respect to an axial direction rather than a regular assembling position, a clearance 38 is thereby formed between the roller assembly 17c and the outer ring raceway 6c, and grease is discharged toward the clearance 38 from a grease sealing jig 39.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
