This hot and cold water mixer is provided with a hot water side passage 21, a water side passage 22, a mixing passage 30, a valve body 23 for merging these hot water side passage 21, water side passage 22 and mixing passage 30 by a watertight space 26, a hot water side opening part 27 rotatably arranged in the watertight space 26 of this valve body 23, and communicated or cut off at an optional angle with or from the hot water side passage 21, a valve 24 forming a water side opening part 28 communicated or cut off at an optional angle with or from the water side passage 22, and communicating the hot water side opening part 27 with the water side opening part 28, an operation shaft 31 for changing a turning angle by operating this valve 24, and a motor 32 for rotating this operation shaft 31. The watertight space 26 communicated with the mixing passage 30 is arranged around the valve 24, and hot and cold water are flowed to the mixing passage 30 after passing through this watertight space 26.
