Abstract:

A connector assembly (10) has a connector body (12, 112) to receive a spigot (14). The connector body (12, 112) includes a mechanism to retain the spigot (14) in the connector body (12, 112). A fluid transfer conduit (20) is coupled with the connector body (12, 112). A heating element (30) extends through the fluid transfer conduit (20) and into the connector body (12, 112) and spigot (14), when the spigot (14) is retained by the connector body (12, 112). The heating element (30) heats the spigot (14) and the connector body (12, 112) from the inside.
