To provide a heat exchanger enabling flow speed control in a header.
A heat exchanger includes: multiple flat tubes 11; and a header 14. The multiple flat tubes 11 extend along a horizontal direction. The header 14 extends along a vertical direction, and an end part of each flat tube 11 is connected with the header 14. The header 14 splits a two-phase refrigerant and puts the split refrigerant into each flat tube 11. The header 14 includes: a first round pipe member 41; and a second round pipe member 42. The end part of each flat pipe 11 is connected with the first round pipe member 41. The second round pipe member 42 has an outer diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the first round pipe member 41 and extends along the vertical direction in an internal space of the first round pipe member 41.
