Abstract:
To provide a hardening device which can deal with horizontal displacement in a given direction and be easily installed, and to provide a seismic isolated structure including the hardening device.SOLUTION: A hardening device includes: cylindrical links 16 provided at intervals so as to enclose a shaft body 14; plate springs 18 each of which is provided between the adjacent links 16 and biases the links 16 in a direction such that the links 16 separate from each other; and restriction bodies 22 each of which is disposed at the outer side of the links 16 to restrict movement of the outermost link 16 in an outward direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
