Abstract:
The invention provides a continuously variable transmission being low in price and capable of controlling a torque transmitted to the output shaft at high precision. The continuously variable transmission (1A) has a one-way clutch (17), a distance sensor (23) and a torque of an output shaft calculation portion. The one-way clutch (17) is composed of the outer peripheral face of an output shaft (3), the inner peripheral face of a ring portion (18d), a roller (17d) and a cam face (3a) formed on the outer peripheral face of the output shaft (3). The output shaft calculation portion is used for calculating a torque transmitted to the output shaft (3) depending on a distance, to the ring portion (18d) of a swing connecting rod (18), detected by the distance sensor (23).
