Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a geared motor and pointer display device with which the rebound of gears can be suppressed, even if a stopper mechanism provided to a gear train is activated. [Solution] A geared motor 100 is provided with a stopper mechanism 9 which restricts the range of movement when the trailing gear 42 rotates in a counter-clockwise CCW direction. In the stopper mechanism 9, a first angle range ¸1 and a second angle range ¸2 are obtained by dividing the range of angle of rotation of the trailing side gear 42 by a virtual line L11 passing through the center of rotation of the trailing side gear 42 and the center of rotation of the driving side gear 41. In the first angle range ¸1 in which the stopper touching part 91 moves in a direction approaching the center of rotation of the driving side gear 41 when the trailing side gear 42 rotates in a counter-clockwise CCW direction, the stopper touching part 91 touches the part 92 to be touched by the stopper. As a consequence, when the stopper mechanism 9 is activated, the trailing side gear 42 is subjected to a reaction force in a direction moving away from the driving side gear 41, making the meshing shallower.
