Abstract:
To provide a gear change device which can be made compact in a size by reducing a dimension of a slider in an axial direction while suppressing an inclination of the slider in the axial direction.SOLUTION: A gear change device 12 comprises: a fifth-speed driven gear 45 arranged at a counter shaft 22; a fifth-speed drive gear 35 constantly engaged with the fifth-speed driven gear 45, and arranged at a main shaft 21; and a first slider 61 arranged at the counter shaft 22 so as to be movable in an axial direction according to a shift operation. The first slider 61 has a first dog recess 61c. The fifth-speed driven gear 45 has a fifth-speed dog protrusion 45b which can be engaged with the first dog recess 61c. In the fifth-speed driven gear 45, a fifth-speed driven gear salient part 45e is arranged at only a position near an external peripheral end in a radial direction rather than the counter shaft 22, the fifth-speed driven gear salient part being salient in the axial direction so as to contact with the first slider 61 when the first slider falls down in the axial direction, and being shorter than the fifth-speed dog protrusion 45b in a protrusion length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
