Abstract:
PURPOSE:To raise the stability of bearing during the period of high-speed rotation by forming a great number of fine grooves in parallel with the axial direction of a shaft inserted into a bearing portion and supplying a compressed gas from a gas supply throttle portion to the peripheral portion of the shaft. CONSTITUTION:A shaft portion 3 to be inserted into a bearing portion 1 is circumferentially provided with a great number of fine grooves 4 in parallel with the direction of the shaft 3, having a length shorter than that L of the bearing portion 1. A compressed gas supplied from a gas supply throttle portion flows through the fine grooves toward the end of the bearing and thereby flow resistance in the axial 3 direction within bearing aperture (g) is greatly reduced. On the other hand, the flow of gas in the circumferential direction traverses the fine grooves 4, so that reduced amount of flow resistance in the circumferential direction by the fine grooves 4 is made small and therefore, the lowering of load capacity can be prevented.
