A fuel injection valve comprises: a valve element 4 held inside an injection valve body 1 to be capable of reciprocation motion; a plurality of injection holes 8, 9 opened at the tip of the injection valve body 1 and at different positions in an axial direction of the injection valve body 1 so that injecting directions of the injection holes 8, 9 are different from each other; and fuel passages 10, 11, 111 disposed for supplying the fuel by communicating with at least either of the fuel injection hole 8 or 9 depending on the position in the axial direction of the injection valve body 1 of valve element 4 at the tip of valve element 4. The fuel injection valve further comprises in such a manner that the fuel spray is injected in different injecting direction depending on the position in the axial direction of the injection valve body 1 of the valve element 4.
