Abstract:
To provide a fretting fatigue reduction structure of a shaft member which can suppress fretting fatigue to a low level and extend a durable life of the shaft member.SOLUTION: As a fretting fatigue reduction structure of a shaft member 2 press-fitted into a fitting hole 1a formed in a contact member 1, when a value (σ1.333 - σ1.0)/σn obtained by dividing a difference (σ1.333 - σ1.0) between a principal stress σ1.333 when a tensile force is applied to the shaft member 2 and a principal stress σ1.0 when only a pressing force is applied by a nominal stress σn at the minimum cross section of the shaft member 2 is defined as a stress concentration coefficient Kt, a stress relief groove 2A having a shape such that the stress concentration coefficient Kt is 1.3 to 1.8 is formed at a position corresponding to an axial end portion of the contact member 1 of the shaft member 2. Further, a relief groove 1A is formed over the entire circumference at an axial intermediate position of the fitting hole 1a of the contact member 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
