Abstract:
To provide a frequency dividing circuit that can change a frequency division ratio and can reduce current consumption.SOLUTION: A frequency dividing circuit comprises: a first frequency divider that, for an integer n of 1 or more and an integer m of 1 or more different from the integer n, divides an input clock signal to have one-n-th of its frequency or one-m-th of its frequency according to a first frequency division ratio setting signal; a second frequency divider that divides a signal output from the first frequency divider to have half its frequency; a selector that selects and outputs the signal output from the first frequency divider or a signal output from the second frequency divider; and a frequency dividing mode control circuit that sets the signal output from the second frequency divider as the first frequency division ratio setting signal according to a second frequency division ratio setting signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
