Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity for a useless pawl and enable the large power to be transmitted, by mounting hook-shaped pawls, swivelled by a spring, to an inner wheel while providing notches on the internal surface of an outer wheel and locating an acting point of the spring for the pawl nearer than its actuating point to a swivelling axis. CONSTITUTION:An inner wheel mounts two hook-shaped pawls 1 of swivelling type by a spring, while an outer wheel provides on its internal surface two notches 2. The pawl 1, in which a distance between points A-B becomes smaller than a distance between points A-C by positioning the acting point B of a compression spring 3 to the point A of a swivellng axis from the actuating point C, provides a movement of the point C faster than a movement of the spring, decreasing the force by tension of the spring smaller at the point C. In this way, friction force generated with the outer wheel, when it is raced, is decreased by reducing a play D provided with the notch 2 because the pawl 1 is actuated fast.
