Abstract:
To reduce the size of a forward-reverse changeover mechanism of a stepless transmission and alleviate the operating load of a shift sleeve.SOLUTION: A dog clutch 58 of a forward-reverse changeover mechanism S of a crank-type stepless transmission T includes a driving ball 74 and a reversing ball 75 that are driven by a shift sleeve 59 and combine a slider 70 to an output shaft 13 or mission case 42 selectively. A driving range is established when the slider 70 is moved rightward by the driving ball 74, whereas a reverse range is established when the slider 70 is moved leftward by the reversing ball 75. The driving ball 74 and reversing ball 75 are disposed on the same circumference as the slider 70 and are driven by a single shift sleeve 59, and therefore an axial-direction size of the forward-reverse changeover mechanism S can be reduced. And moreover, the shift sleeve 59 drives the slider 70 via the driving ball 74 and reversing ball 75, thus making it possible to reduce the operating load of the shift sleeve 59.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
