Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture reinforced plastic leaf spring on mass production base by introducing roving strands having reinforced fibers and as well a thermosetting resin into a cylindrical die and by pressing them against the inner peripheral surface of the die under centrifugal force due to the rotation of the die. CONSTITUTION:A die 1 formed with an inner peripheral portion having a diameter corresponding to the outer diameter of a leaf spring having a predetermined camber, is rotated at a high speed by a drive unit. A robing strands 2 and a thermosetting resin 3 are introduced into the inner peripheral portion of the die 1 after the die 1 is heated to the thermosetting temperature of the resin, and are pressed against the inner peripheral wall surface under centrifugal force due to the rotation of the die 1, thereby a reinforce plastic leaf spring is produced.
