Title:
FLUSH VALVE AND SUBSIDIARY RING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3151172
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subsidiary ring for use in accurately controlling the quantity of water required for a flushing cycle.
SOLUTION: A flush valve employed in a toilet device such as a urinal and a water closet comprises a body having an inlet 12 and an outlet 14, and a passage. A valve seat 28 is arranged at one end of the passage, and a diaphragm 16 is positioned on the valve seat 28 to control the flow of water in the passage or shut off the passage. A guide member attached to the underside of the diaphragm 16 so as to be situated inside the passage is provided with a subsidiary ring 40. The subsidiary ring 40 has a downstream water-flow control part including a plurality of first passages, which is adapted to establish main water passages between the inlet 12 and the outlet 14 when the diaphragm 16 separates from the valve seat 28. The water-flow control part of the subsidiary ring 40 serves as a plurality of second passages which are parallel to the first passages and produce a flow rate smaller than that by the first passages.
