PURPOSE: To set a capacity coefficient at the time of stall sufficiently low while restraining a lowering rate of the capacity coefficient in a middle speed ratio territory to the utmost without using additional parts in a fluid coupling eliminating an inner core.
CONSTITUTION: A delivery-acceptance restriction means 22 is formed by way of bending blades in the neighbourhood of a channel of working fluid, that is, an average stream line in a stall territory of either or both of a pump blade 11 and a turbine blade 21. The delivery-acceptance restriction means 22 works to lower a capacity coefficient in the stall territory as it restricts delivery and acceptance of working fluid in the stall territory. And in a middle speed ratio territory, as a certain force of inertia is generated in a stream of working fluid, work of the delivery-acceptance restriction means 22 to restrict delivery and acceptance of working fluid decreases and restraints lowering of the capacity coefficient in the middle speed ratio territory.
