To equalize a rotational frequency of lock-to-lock of either sides of a steering wheel in a hydraulic steering device containing one rod type cylinder.
A fluid pump 11, a reservoir 13, and one rod type cylinder 25 are connected to an inlet port 17, a return port 19, and control fluid ports 21, 23 of a fluid controller 15, respectively. A valve structure 27 is operated by the rotation of a steering wheel to form a main fluid passage, pressurized fluid is supplied to a rod end A side of a cylinder 25 through a fluid meter 29, and the feed rate of the pressurized fluid is adjusted to be constant by controlling the valve structure 27 according to the measured flow rate of the fluid meter 29. The difference in the received pressure area between the rod end A and a head end B is compensated to equalize the of lock-to-lock revolutions both sides of the steering wheel by forming a magnification fluid passage which is in parallel with the main fluid passage and bypasses the fluid meter 29 to the head end B side to magnify the feed rate of the pressurized fluid.
