Abstract:
To prevent a valve element of a poppet type fluid control valve functioning as an internally opening type valve from being opened carelessly due to high negative pressure applied to a downstream side flow passage when the valve is fully closed.SOLUTION: An EGR valve 14 includes: a housing 41; a valve stem 42 in which a valve element 43 is provided; a stepping motor 44 reciprocating the valve stem 42; and a spring 45 energizing the valve element 43 and the valve stem 42 in the direction separating from the stepping motor 44. The valve element 43 includes a cylindrical outer shaft 52 extending from the valve element 43 along the valve stem 42 to enable contact with a lip seal 51 around the valve stem 42. The EGR valve includes the lip seal 51 sealing a space between the outer shaft 52 and the housing 41 when the outer shaft 52 reciprocates together with the valve element 43 and the valve stem 42. By sealing using the lip seal 51, an inner space 53 is provided in the housing 41. An upper end part of the outer shaft 52 faces the inner space 53, and an atmospheric passage 54 communicating the inner space 53 with the atmosphere is provided in the housing 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
